競賽設(shè)有四個專業(yè)獎：設(shè)計獎、分析與計劃獎、研究獎、交流獎。 The Call for Entries also includes the Community Service Award, recognizing landscape architects providing pro bono service to the community, and the Landmark Award, recognizing a project completed between 15 and 50 years ago. The National Trust for Historic Preservation is co-sponsoring the Landmark Award for the first time this year.

報名截至日期：2004年4月30（星期五），材料提交截止為2004年5月14日，以郵戳為準。評委評審時間為2004年6月18-20日，組委會隨后公布獲獎名單。大賽結(jié)果在獲獎名單公布之后通知。組委會將于2004年10月30日在鹽湖城市的年會和展覽會宴請獲獎者和其項目客戶。

參賽資格:
Individuals, firms, owners, public agencies, organizations, or other entities may enter as long as the project's creative team includes at least one landscape architect, a graduate of a landscape architecture program, or a faculty member of a landscape architecture program. (The work of non-landscape architects may be submitted to the Communications category.)
參賽費:
Professional Awards Entry fee (ASLA Member)- $250, Professional Awards Entry Fee (Non-member) - $500 [includes one-year membership], Community Service Award Entry Fee - $50, and The Landmark Award Entry Fee - $50.
獎金:
Excellenc, Honor, and Merit Awards Certificates and international media attention.
